AUSTIN TRAIL OF LIGHTS – GRAND OPENING

Foundation and H-E-B’s Read 3 program
Join us for our Grand
Opening celebration as H-E-B
helps us kick off the 53rd annual Austin
Trail of Lights holiday season. The official first night at the Trail
begins with a ceremonial flipping of the switch by AISD students lead by our
H-E-B partners. One lucky student winner of our Austin Trail of Lights Holiday
Writing Contest will be invited to flip the switch, turning on the front entry lights
and opening the Austin Trail of Lights to the public for the first time of the
season.
General Admission is free and open to the public on December
9th, and will include a variety of special entertainment and programming to
ring in the holiday season!

2017 FOOD DRIVE
Help the
Trail feed the hungry by bringing a can of food with you to Zilker Park. With
your support, we can collect more than 25,000 MEALS for the Central
Texas Food Bank. ’Tis the season for giving, after all!
Public admission to the Austin Trail of Lights is from
7pm-10pm.
AUSTIN TRAIL OF LIGHTS ADMISSION
PASSES
GENERAL ADMISSION PASS
General Admission for all ages is free and open to the general public on
December 9, 2017. No advance GA ticket purchase is required on December 9th
– simply come on down to the “Main Entrance” gate at the Austin Trail of Lights
Barton Springs Road pedestrian entrance. FREE General Admission event access is
from 7pm-10pm. GA passes also include any Grand Opening festivities happening
tonight only!
PLATINUM
PASSES
Experience the Trail of Lights in luxury with our Platinum
program, presented by Kendra Scott!
Your Platinum pass purchase comes with concierge service from start to finish.
Our Platinum team will work to make your experience at the Trail memorable and
the planning truly hands-off. All you do is pick the night you and your group
would like to come!
Platinum guests will access the Trail through an exclusive
Platinum gate entrance. Platinum doors will open at 6:00 pm, one hour before
the Trail opens to the general public.
THE FULL PLATINUM
EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

One valet
parking pass for one vehicle. Valet parking opens at 5:30pm.

Platinum experience
concierge planning before the event and our Platinum team to guide you at
the event.

Early access
to the park at 6:00pm, an hour before the public, through a private, dedicated
entry
·
Golf cart
shuttle access to the Platinum Lounge and Trailhead
·
Access to a private, heated Platinum Lounge with comfortable seating and exclusive bar
·
Access to the Zilker Lounge in Zilker Village – where you'll find complimentary
cookies and cocoa, comfortable seating, and heated washrooms with flushable
toilets.

One drink
ticket valid at bars throughout the park per Platinum Pass
·
One ride
pass for exclusive entry to Ferris wheel or carousel per Platinum Pass
Platinum hours on December 9th are 6pm-10pm.
Platinum passes are available individually, as a 2-pack, or a 4-pack. Limited quantities are available.
Platinum passes also include any Grand Opening festivities
happening tonight only!
Purchase required for
guests 6 and up. Children 5 and under are complimentary with a paid
Platinum adult. Drink & Ride tickets only issued to paid ticket holders,
and are not issued to complimentary Platinum children, however you may share
your coupons with other guests in your party as you wish!
TRANSPORTATION ~ PARKING & SHUTTLES
PARKING
If you plan to drive to Austin Trail of Lights and park nearby at Zilker
Park, you must purchase a PARKING PASS in advance, online. With the exception of a Platinum pass, parking
is not included with any ticket option.

Parking is available in advance, online. No parking will be sold on site.

Parking is located nearby Zilker Park and opens
at 5:30pm.
ADA parking is
available. To access ADA parking, you must present your purchased parking
pass and appropriate ADA placard or plates. The person to whom the
placards belongs must be present in the vehicle.
Parking will sell out
in advance, so purchase today!
Additional parking information will be emailed to you once
you purchase your parking pass.
SHUTTLES
Love Austin, hate the traffic? Avoid driving to Zilker Park all together
and help keep Austin green, by purchasing a Shuttle pass. Take a shuttle
directly to the front gate at Trail of Lights from Toney Burger Activity Center in South Austin or Republic Square Park in Downtown.
Purchase a shuttle
pass in advance to skip the long shuttle admission lines at each pick up
location.
Shuttle pass purchases allow General Admission to the Trail
of Lights, and entry privileges via the "Prepaid" expedited
lanes at the main Trail of Lights Barton Springs Road pedestrian
entrance.
Shuttles run between
5:30pm and 8:30pm at both locations - with the last return shuttle leaving
Zilker Park at 10:30pm.
Platinum and ZIP Purchasers:
A separate Platinum or ZiP ticket is required for that level of event
admission/access if desired along with shuttle transportation.
The shuttle is ADA
accessible, and fold-down strollers are permitted.
Small toddlers and lap
children ride free. Additional parking costs may apply per posted lots/businesses/street
meters adjacent to the shuttle locations.
Shuttle tickets
include Trail of Lights General Admission entry only.
RIDESHARE
Consider leaving the car at home! Use our preferred rideshare
partner, Lyft, to make getting
there so much easier! Use the code TRAIL17 to
get $5 off your first 3 rides with Lyft. You can redeem this promotion thru the
Lyft app or here.
PROMO CODES
If you have a special promotional access code or password, enter it in
the "promotional code" box on the right, and click apply.
Once the code is accepted and the box turns green, the page will refresh
and reveal your special offer. Then enter the desired amount of tickets next to
the special offer, and follow the prompts to complete the transaction.
THIS EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE. No refunds. No exchanges. This ticket grants a revocable license to the
bearer and may be removed at any time for any reason. The resale or attempted
resale of this ticket at a price higher than that appearing heron is grounds
for seizure and cancellation without compensation. The holder assumes all risk
or danger incidental to the attraction whether occurring prior to, during, or
subsequent to, the attraction. Rain policy: Tickets for outdoor events
are purchased at risk of inclement weather. This ticket will not be replaced,
refunded, or exchanged for any reason. Shipping and handling and service
charges are non-refundable, even if event cancels.
