Cumulative rainfall over Zilker Park’s already saturated grounds has extended the amount of standing water in areas critical to the operation of the Trail of Lights. In order to protect the community’s park land and the safety of event goers, the Austin Parks and Recreation Department closed Zilker Park today, 12/19. Event organizers continue to work diligently to mitigate standing water, and re-open the Trail with a safe and quality experience.
Ticket buyers who purchased Shuttle, GA, and ZIP passes for December 16, 17, or 19 may use those passes any open night of the Trail of Lights. Simply present your original ticket at the appropriate entrance for entry at no extra cost on the new night you’d like to attend.
